Why do I build?
I believe the primary purpose comes from within. We are made to create, to change, to tinker with the world around us. I started out only coding software, and while that is still very interesting to me, I desired a sense of novelty that programming ceased to hold within me. I've read so much theory that it seems to be going on ad nauseum. So, I turned to microcontroller designs, specifically with Arduino at first. This site is to keep track of my progress and motivate me to keep learning computer science. Those subtle dopamine strikes that come in just when you figure out that schematic keep you going even years into the science.
What do I build?
While I am still very early in my learning journey, I tend to feel most connected to the motor aspects of microcontroller design. The joystick end as well. As someone who's been gaming for years, it feels only logical that I would eventually turn to the hardware behind it. I would someday love to construct a custom game console, yet that is for the future. A future that I am actively building up to every day, motivated or not.
